Andreas Demetriades was born in Paphos-Cyprus on the 25.12.1954 and studied at the London School of Economics and Political Science of the London University from where he was awarded the degrees of B.Sc. (Econ.) in Industry and Trade and M.Sc. in Operational Research. He was also awarded a Bachelor of Laws degree LLB by the London University.

 

Following his graduation he worked for the period1982-4 as Project Analyst with Cyprus Development Bank, from 1984 to 1994 General Manager of a jointly owned company with the Cyprus Development Bank and from 1995 has established and managed ADCS International Ltd and a number of other companies involved in  the provision of investment, financial and legal professional services. He also represents international financial institutions that specialise in the financing of BOT and other investment projects, and joints forces with international organizations for the participation in public procurement projects in Cyprus and abroad. In addition he is an advocate and managing director of an advocates company.

 

He served as chairman, vice-president and member of the Board of Directors of the Paphos of Commerce & Industry, member of the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce & Industry and member of its executive Committee, member of the Board of Directors of Cyprus Telecommunications Authority, Cyprus State Fairs, Carrots and Beetroots Board, Euro African Satellite Telecomunications (EAST), Claridge Investments Ltd and other Cypriot and foreign companies and organizations.

He is currently the managing director of the advocates company Andreas Chr. Demetriades LLC as well as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Demetriades Group Ltd, ADCS International Ltd, InterProcurement Ltd, Fondo Developers Ltd, Star Properties Ltd, Mega Beton Ltd, and he is also a member of the Board of Directors of many local and foreign companies and organizations.

He is married with Pitsa Papadopoulou and has two children, George and Christiana.
