Ιωάννου Αντρέας

Andreas Ioannou, born in Paphos, Cyprus the 9th November 1971 is married to Stella Nicolaou with a family of four children named Panareti, Androulla, Kleanthia and lastly Neophyta.
 
Andrea’s first studies were obtained in Scotland at the Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh where he received a HNC (Higher National Certificate) in Hospitality Operations. This then led him to receiving a HND (Higher National Diploma) in Hospitality Management. He has also been awarded with Bachelor of Arts and a BA (Hons) in Hospitality Studies at the University of Central Lancashire.
 
Following his graduation he joined the Alpha Panareti Public Limited group of companies where he remains to this present day. His main duties at the company are to source sustainable land for developing purposes and lead the company into an environmentally healthy attitude and state of mind.
 
He, himself, is personally involved in the promotion of ‘green’ issues on the island of which one is championing the execution of a major desalination unit to assist in the water shortage problem Cyprus is faced with. He has further recently announced the company’s involvement in the construction of the first private electric power station for renewable energy.
 
As the Managing Director, along with other Board Members of Alpha Panareti Public Limited together their aim is to construct the first private Marina on the island along with other innovative projects of which one is the Golf Course.
 
During his time at Alpha Panareti Public Limited, the Company has received many Awards for the outstanding projects and, indeed, in 2008-09 the award for ‘AIPP Best Developer in Central and Eastern Europe’ was granted to Alpha Panareti Public Limited.
 
Andreas currently holds the office of Vice-President of Paphos Chamber of Commerce. He is a Member of the Board of Directors of the Land Development Companies and, within that he is the President of the Committee for Town Planning Permissions. He is furthermore a current Member of the Board of UK Cyprus Business Association, President of the Committee for Employment in Paphos, President of the Committee for Tourists, Member of the Civil Court for Employment and a Committee Member of the Association of International Property Professionals in London.
